How much is the self-assessment software for the National Play Standard?

There are various self-assessment software packages available depending on the number of assessments you are intending on undertaking. You can either pay for a block of assessments or via a monthly subscription. The self-assessment software package provides additional revenue opportunities through upselling, increased grant funding success for your clients and the money back scheme for recommending Full Reports. Contact us with the number of assessments you intend to carry out and we will provide a price for the software package best suited to your needs.

How does the self-assessment software work to assess my play area designs?

Play designers can complete the self-assessment once they have designed the play area which will take 10-15 minutes. Once complete, you will informed which the Standard the play area design meets. If the self-assessment software is being carried out on-site for an existing play area audit, the software is available through a tablet or phone. Can I update the assessment if the design is changed?

Yes. All assessments are saved and can be accessed if you need to update them due to a design change.

Will my self-assessments be verified?

There will be verification of some self-assessments. Where play designs are close to a standard or using bespoke equipment these are more likely to be verified. Also, individuals/community groups or new play companies to the National Play Standard will be have a higher percentage of their assessments verified as they will have less experience in completing the self-assessment.

How do I offer the Full Report as part of my play area design and quotation?

Simply include the Full Report as part of your play area design and quotation either as part of the price if requested by the client or as an optional extra. When your play area design is the preferred option by the client, simply request the Full Report from My Play Area. We will provide the Full Report to you for you to pass on to your client. This provides the opportunity to suggest play equipment to meet the improvements noted on the Full Report.

Which play companies offer the National Play Standard assessments?

The participating play companies will be announced shortly before the launch of the National Play Standard later in the year.

When will the National Play Standard be launched?

The National Play Standard is due to be launched in autumn 2019 and will be launched in phases.
